The exhibition 'Dutch Masters from the Hermitage' is open
The exhibition Dutch Masters from the Hermitage. Treasures of the Tsars is a feast of old favourites and new discoveries. The 67 paintings by no fewer than 51 famous Dutch Masters of the Golden Age, including six works by Rembrandt, are highlights from the collection of the State Hermitage in St Petersburg. They demonstrate the Tsars’ passion for Dutch painting. Most of the paintings are on permanent display at the State Hermitage and have not been exhibited in the Netherlands since they were purchased by the Tsars. Their brief return ‘home’ to the Netherlands is a unique event.
