The Hermitage Amsterdam is located on the Amstel 51.

Paid parking

There are a limited number of paid parking spaces in the immediate vicinity of the Hermitage Amsterdam. The nearest carparks with surveillance are located at the Parkeergarage Stadhuis-Muziektheater, on Valkenburgerstraat (Waterlooplein carpark), The Bank on Amstelstraat at Rembrandtplein, and Markenhoven on Anne Frankstraat near the entrance to the IJ Tunnel. Visit amsterdam.nl/parkeren.

By public transport

From Amsterdam Centraal station, take tram 14 or metro 51, 53, or 54 and get off at the Waterlooplein stop, exit Hortusplantsoen. Alternatively, you can plan your journey by visiting the public transport website 9292ov.nl.


Get on and off at Weesperstraat; the group entrance is at Nieuwe Keizersgracht.


Get off at the Museumboot landing for the main entrance on Amstel. The hop on, hop off Canal Bus also provides a service with comfortable boats that operate according to a fixed timetable. You can hop on and hop off at various locations in the city. There is a group landing at Nieuwe Keizersgracht. For more information, visit canal.nl.

WeParc valet service

At Hermitage Amsterdam you have the option of having your car parked by the WeParc valet service. This service costs €25 for five hours and €35 for a whole day.  

Simply download the iPhone or Android app and enter your arrival time. Get out at the entrance to the Hermitage and let one of the WeParc chauffeurs park your car in a secure car park and drive it back out whenever you choose.
