Parking
There are a limited number of paid parking spaces in the immediate vicinity of the Hermitage Amsterdam. A short walk from the Hermitage you can find the parking garages Stadhuis/Muziektheater, Waterlooplein, The Bank and Markenhoven. You can also easily take the metro from P&R RAI (cheapest €1 daily rate, subject to conditions) to Waterlooplein station, right behind the Hermitage. Click here for more information.
Bicycle
The Hermitage Amsterdam is easily accessible by bicycle. The nearest station where you can rent a public transport (OV) bicycle is Amsterdam Central or Amsterdam Amstel. Click here for more information. There are plenty of parking spaces for your bicycle near the Hermitage.
Public transport
Tram 14: stop Waterlooplein.
Metro 51, 53 and 54: stop Waterlooplein. Leave the metro via the Hortusplantsoen exit.
Boat
Get off at the Museumboot landing for the main entrance on Amstel. The hop on, hop off Canal Bus (temporarily unavalaible) also provides a service with comfortable boats that operate according to a fixed timetable. You can hop on and hop off at various locations in the city. There is a group landing at Nieuwe Keizersgracht.
Access to the Hermitage entrance by car/bus/taxi
Cars, buses and taxis cannot enter the immediate vicinity of the Hermitage. Are you being brought by car or taxi? Then use the address Nieuwe Keizersgracht 1. You can get off there in front of the raised access pole, after which it is a one-minute walk to the entrance. If you are disabled, you can ring the bell by the access pole and ask to be dropped off at the entrance on the museum grounds. We will lower the access pole for you.

WeParc valet service
The Hermitage Amsterdam makes it possible for you to have your car parked by WeParc valet-service. The cost is € 30 for 5 hours and € 35 for a full day. You can order a valet via the WeParc website, or the iPhone or Android app. Enter your arrival time and get out in front of the Hermitage. One of the WeParc drivers will park your car in a garage and return it whenever you want. Book on time, full is full!
